At Essex Appropriate Body, we are committed to safeguarding and preserving the privacy of our service users. This Policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us, or that we collect from you, as part of the service of providing Induction for ECTs and related CPD. We do update this Policy from time to time so please do review this Policy regularly.

What personal data do we need from you?
• ECT Manager and related ECT Induction activity
In order to access information and materials related to your involvement in the ECT induction programme we will request your name, email address, telephone number and postal address
• Other Activity
We may also request personal data from you at other times such as if you make an enquiry about registering with Essex AB for ECT Induction. At this time we may ask you for your name, email address and telephone number.

What will it be used for and what gives us the right to ask for it and use it?
• Headteacher, Induction tutor, Associate Tutor, Trainer
The purpose behind asking for personal data is to enable you to carry out your role for the ECT Induction programme and related CPD. It is necessary for a contract between you and Essex AB and for the purpose of safeguarding.
If we cannot use your personal data you will not be able to carry out a role with the ECT Induction programme and related CPD
• Communications
Communications as requested by customers, including marketing our services, informing customers of changes to services and the general operation of service.
If we cannot use your data we will not be able to provide you with updates, inform you of other relevant services, and this may reduce the service we are able to provide to you.
Our legal basis for using your personal data is under our legitimate interests (if your organisation does not have a contract with us), and under a contract (where you or your organisation does have a contract with us).
Our legitimate interests are for direct marketing purposes allowing us to provide communications to customers about existing and new products and services for the purposes of continued business growth, and to meet your business needs.
Who else might we share your data with?
For the purpose of the ECT induction we may share your personal data with Essex AB Partnership schools, ECC Associate Tutors and ECTs registered with Essex AB.
We will not disclose your personal information to any other party other than
• where it is required by our partners in order for you to participate in the ECT Induction programme and related CPD
• where you have consented to receive updates about our partners or third parties
• where we are legally required by law to disclose your personal information
Will your data be stored in or accessible from countries with no UK-equivalent Privacy Law protections?

How long will we keep your personal data?
• When will it stop being used?
When you cease to work with Essex AB as a result of not having an ECT or not being required to deliver any training sessions.
• How long after this will it be deleted?
Your personal data will be deleted from our systems within 1 year of you ceasing to work with us.
• Marketing Communications
If you would like your data removed from our databases for the purposes of sales and marketing, you can inform us in writing or by email or by updating your preferences on ECT Manager. Once your request has been received, you will be unsubscribed within one week of the request. The option to opt-out of these communications only applies to marketing/promotional communications and does not pertain to necessary communication related to the delivery of the ECT Induction programme.
